Newcastle United are reportedly considering disciplinary action after Alexander Isak’s recent behaviour raised fresh doubts about his future at the club.

The Premier League season hasn’t even started, and Newcastle United are already facing a major distraction.

Their star striker is at the center of a controversy that could change the look of their attack — and possibly Liverpool’s.

It’s no secret that Liverpool are still in the market for a forward, even after signing Hugo Ekitike.

They want a game-changer, and in Alexander Isak, they see someone who fits the profile.

But the way this saga is playing out is raising eyebrows.

“His latest move raises the possibility of a club fine, if they determine he has left Tyneside without their knowledge.”

“So far, Mail Sport has been told of nothing to suggest Newcastle were aware of Isak’s intentions.”

“Supporters have not reacted kindly to him returning to his old club when he should be working with Newcastle staff on his rehab, if he is injured.”

From the fan perspective, patience is wearing thin.

Manager Eddie Howe also made his stance known, admitting that he is “not in full control” of the striker’s future.

Isak is reportedly hoping to force through a move to Liverpool, who are preparing what could be a British-record offer.

And that offer, as exclusively revealed by DaveOCKOP, could come in the form of an upfront payment of £60M to Newcastle.

And as the report explained, “This could be immediately spent by the Magpies on reinforcements.

A further £60M would follow before any add-on bonuses are achieved.’

But Newcastle are struggling to find a replacement and are reportedly ready to pay whatever is necessary to land RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.

Brentford’s Yoane Wissa, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins, and Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen are among the names on the shortlist.

For now, Liverpool are watching closely.

But Isak’s actions may speed up or slow down the deal, depending on how Newcastle responds.
